i love how george admitted his feelings for charlotte right after she told him she’ll stand between the heavens and the earth with him because this is exactly what he needed all his life. not a doctor nor these gruesome methods to try and cure his illness but a person who would tell him where he is whenever he would start hallucinating. a person who would be able to calm him down from the nerves he experiences. a person who would bring light to the darkness that is his burden. not only did george want to protect charlotte from him, he also believed she could not love someone like him. but she does and when she told him she does and would be there for him, he simply could not keep it in anymore and told her he loves her as well. there is nothing and no one he needs besides charlotte’s love for him. it is enough.
